Look what SOS has been up to.......

On Wednesday (5/2) SOS pulled 6 cats and kitttens from the shelter. Two great one year olds, Heather (on the right) and Heidi (on the left). A Momma cat with two 7 week old kittens. Last and the most in need a 6 week old kitten that was left because he has swimmer legs and was the runt of the litter (The little guy only weighs 14 oz.). On Saturday (5/5) we rescued a Momma cat with 5 babies, her babies are 3 days old. Thats a total of 12 cats and kittens SAVED! WOW, what a week.

Buster and Rosie Adoption Update....

I do believe that today is the 3rd anniversary of Buster & Rosie's adoption. It seems like just yesterday we were pulling out of your driveway on our way to a new life. I am sure that if they could talk they would tell you how grateful they are to SOS for giving them a chance to live a true 'dogs life'. And I could never thank you enough for bringing these two wonderful wiggle butts into my life.

Buster is recovering a bit slower this time around. He was incontinent for three weeks for some reason that we couldn't figure out. I decided to wait a while before trying to medicate him for it and I'm happy to say that the piddle parade is over. haha. He still favors his bad leg when he's been on it for a while but he's getting better. Rosie has been so good about leaving him alone and not trying to lay on him like she normally does. We are looking forward to his complete recover so we can return to romping in the lake on Sunday afternoons.

After three years of working on Buster's 'Roo-ing' abilities, I'm happy to say that he's got it down pat. Now every time I come home i chase them upstairs, where he climbs the steps to the bed, lifts his head and lets out one magnificent "Roooooooooo". it makes my heart soar.

Rosie is doing great. She had a humorous run-in with a little goat outside of the vet clinic last week. It was so funny that i was in tears.
She does take her job of keeping the neighborhood cats and squirrels out of the yard very seriously.

We just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the joy that you, and SOS, have given these past three years. God Bless you all.

PLEASE SPAY & NEUTER! In 1990, an estimated 12 million animals were being euthanized in shelters across the country. Today, that number is 3.7 million. The only way to stop 3.7 million needless deaths is to stop overpopulation. Spaying and neutering is the best & most humane method. Here is a link to some affordable spay/neuter programs.
