This funny faced little lab needed a break. Her owners kept her in the garage or outside 22 hours a day for the first 6 months of her life. She didn't know how to be a puppy! They were on the way to taking her to the pound when we got the call. She would not have survived any pound situation as she was already out of control.
When we took her in, she ran like a maniac all around the home barking incessantly. She was frustrated, and very, very confused. She had no manners, and was not housebroken.
Bailey's adorable grin and playful spirit convinced us we could help. She would win your heart with her exhuberant love of life. We worked hard at learning manners and played equally as hard with our own pack of rescues.
She ran and played for the first time in her short life. She learned quickly and wanted to please.
Enter Jennifer, a compassionate adopter looking to save a life and just establishing herself in the work world. She had graduated with her Masters and taken on quite a job at the VA Center. She always knew she wanted her own pup and now, was the time. These two met and it was love at first sight! Bailey couldn't stop hugging and jumping and Jennifer was equally excited. They now enjoy long runs (Jennifer volunteer coaches running for her old school) and lots of hugs and kisses. Thanks to Jennifer, Bailey has finally found all the love and time she deserves!
UPDATE AND QUOTE FROM NEW MOM, JENNIFER After notifying Bailey's new mom of their story being posted on our site, I received this note..."This is great, thank you!! I can't tell you how happy we are to have Bailey in our lives. She's doing great in obedience school (she's the most vocal dog in the class), she's a quick learner. I've been meaning to send you these pictures, we recently took the one of Bailey and Gabby - aren't they cute!!
Thanks again for helping find Bailey - we love her!!"
Thank you Jennifer and family for seeing the light in Bailey and loving her like we had grown to. We LOVE happy endings!
