Sophie is a super sweet girl who came to us from a home overcrowded with way too many animals. She probably never knew what it was like to be held and petted or settle into a humans lap. There were just too many of them! At first she was shy and cautious in her foster home, but now she's very inquisitive and will follow her foster mom around to see whats going on. She's a laid back girl who won't want to be in your face (or on your lap) but she will settle down in the room with you to enjoy your company and a little petting. You might even find her curled up on your bed in the morning. She's slow to warm up to new people, but given time to adjust to her new family, she'll look for you and escort you around the house listening to how your day went. Toys were a new thing for her and she loves to play with the laser light and the lighting rod with a sparkler accessory. She also loves to watch for birds and squirrels out the window. She gets along fine with the resident male cat and is friendly to the other kitties passing through on their way to new homes. She would thrive in quiet home and another cat or a cat-friendly dog would probably be fine. If you're looking for a low maintenance friend Sophie would love to let you know she'll be nearby for you. All she wants is to hang out with you. We offer the adoption of our felines over 1 year old for only $50! This will not only give our wonderful adults a forever home, but will allow us the opportunity to save more lives by opening up our foster homes to more animals in need. SOS NEVER ships pets and will not adopt out to a driving radius greater than 3 hours from Medina, Ohio. We do not have a shelter.
